Makes data download automatic—and effortless!
Ensuring information to be complete and timely manner is a very essential part of effectic data management. Keeping the CarChip Fleet Pro in the vehicle at all times is a great way to acheive this plus with the use of wireless download system to transfer the data back to data collection center/office.
Connecting a Wireless Base station to a PC instantly turns your parking lot into a hot downloading zone spot. The data is ready for download anytime a driver pulls in. The trip & vehicle information is transferred through Wireless On-Board module that is directly communicating with the base station on the PC-side.
Once you’ve set up your wireless system, you can rest assured that you’re always running summary reports on the latest available data. Each base station has an effective range of up to 600 feet, and you can add more receivers should you need them.
On the PC side, you’ll need at least one Wireless Base Station, and one Configuration Cable to set up the wireless pieces. Each vehicle will also need a Wireless On-board Module and a GPS/Wireless Interface Module. Receive data wirelessly.
Receives data from the Wireless On-Board Module and passes it on to the Fleet Management Software. You’ll need at least one Base Station per parking lot or office. Larger parking lots may require more than one Base Station; maximum five per Fleet Management Software package.
For longer distances, add one of these third-party solutions
• A standard USB extension cable. Maximum total cable length is 16.5' (5 m).
• A USB extender. Maximum distance is 150' (45 m).
• A USB device server connected to your company intranet, for virtually unlimited distances.
The Base Station for Wireless Download System connects to a computer running Fleet Management Software 3.7 or later using a USB connection. It communicates with all the Wireless On-Board Modules installed in your fleet and moves the data from the CarChip device to the FMS database. Using FMS, this operation can be performed daily for all the vehicles in your fleet, or only for selected vehicles. You can also initiate a manual download from selected vehicles or your whole fleet.

Connects the Wireless On-Board Module to the USB port on your PC running Fleet Management Software for configuration before initial use. You’ll need one per office or fleet location.

transmits data wirelessly.
Transmits the data collected by a CarChip Fleet Pro to a Wireless Base Station. You’ll need one per vehicle. Before installation, complete a few simple steps using our Configuration Cable and Fleet Management Software. Then, plug the module into the CarChip data logger using the GPS/Wireless Interface Module. Mounts in window of vehicle using the included Velcro® strips or doublesided foam tape.

CarChip GPS/Wireless Interface Module
Part of the GPS System and Wireless System.
Connects the Wireless On-Board Module to your CarChip Fleet Pro data logger. You’ll need one per vehicle. Easily mounts under dashboard using the included Velcro® strips or double-sided foam tape. A single Interface Module can be used to install both a Wireless download system and a GPS system.
