Wireless Download System for DriveRight 600e
Makes data download automatic and effortless!
Our easiest, most foolproof download system yet. There are no buttons to push, nothing for your drivers to remember to do. They simply pull into the parking lot, and the data from their DriveRight 600E or CarChip Fleet Pro is transmitted wirelessly—and automatically—to your office.
Components are sold separately so you can customize the installation for your fleet. You’ll need at least one of each plus our Fleet Management Software. Transmission distance is 600 (200 m) line of sight.
Creating a complete system using:
One Wireless On-Board Module for each vehicle.
One GPS/Wireless Interface Module for each vehicle.
Enough Base Stations to cover the parking area.
One Configuration Cable for the entire fleet.
One GPS module for each vehicle.
Transmits the data collected by a DriveRight 600E or CarChip Fleet Pro to a Wireless Base Station. You’ll need one per vehicle. Before installation, complete a few simple steps using our Configuration Cable and Fleet Management
Software. Then, plug the module into the DriveRight 600E on-board console or CarChip data logger using the appropriate GPS/Wireless Interface Module. Mounts in window of vehicle using the included Velcro® strips or doublesided foam tape.
GPS/WIreless Interface Module
Connects the Wireless On-Board Module to either your DriveRight 600E on-board console or the CarChip Fleet Pro data logger. You’ll need one per vehicle. Easily mounts under dashboard using the included Velcro® strips or double-sided foam tape. Available in two models. A single Interface Module can be used to install both a wireless download system and a GPS system. See page 10 for details on our GPS system.
Receives data from the Wireless On-Board Module and passes it on to the Fleet Management Software. You’ll need at least one Base Station per parking lot or
office. Larger parking lots may require more than one Base Station; maximum five per Fleet Management Software package. Includes 8' (2.4 m) cable to connect to the USB port on your PC. For longer distances, add one of these third-party solutions (not sold by Davis Instruments):
• A standard USB extension cable. Maximum total cable length is 16.5' (5 m).
• A USB extender. Maximum distance is 150' (45 m).
• A USB device server connected to your company intranet, for virtually unlimited distances.

GPS Module for DriveRight
Add a GPS system to the DriveRight 600E or CarChip Fleet Pro in each vehicle, and see how and where your vehicles are being driven. Download the data to our Fleet Management Software, then use Microsoft MapPoint or other third-party mapping programs to create detailed maps showing each driver's routes, the speeds driven, and the locations of any accidents or near-accidents.
Plugs quickly and easily into the DriveRight 600E on-board console or CarChip data logger using the appropriate GPS/Wireless Interface Module. For maximum visibility to GPS satellites, position the module on the dashboard or windshield. Includes 6.5' (2 m) cable.
Choose a location sampling interval from 5 seconds to 10 minutes. At a one-minute interval, you'll be able to log up to 44 hours of GPS data.
